Nex-AGI

Nex-AGI (Nex, "Nexus of Agentic Intelligence") is an open-source alliance initiated by the Shanghai Innovation Institute (SII) (launched late 2025) to build a "sustainable, agency-driven, closed-loop, open-source ecosystem" for AI agents. Alliance members include SII alongside Shanghai Qiji Zhifeng, Mosi Intelligence, KuafuAI, and a network of entrepreneurial partners. Distinct from SII's GAIR Lab / daVinci pretraining line, Nex's identity is agentic post-training and infrastructure — full-stack across models, data, agent frameworks, and serving.

Its products span the whole stack: the Nex-N1 / Nex-N2 open-weight agentic model families (post-trained on open bases such as Qwen3.5, DeepSeek-V3.1, and Qwen3); training infrastructure (NexRL, an ultra-loosely-coupled post-training framework; NexGAP, an agentic data pipeline); and agent frameworks (NexAU for building tool-using agent hierarchies, NexA4A meta-agent generation, and NexDR deep research). Models ship under Apache 2.0 on HuggingFace, ModelScope, and OpenRouter.
