THREADS

A molecular-driven slide foundation model from the Mahmood Lab (Nature Cancer 2026), pretrained on 47,171 H&E-stained sections paired with genomic and transcriptomic profiles. THREADS reaches SOTA on more than 50 oncologic-pathology tasks with far less pretraining data than prior slide FMs and is especially strong on hard tasks such as treatment- response prediction. Pretrained from scratch by Harvard.
