A KAUST-led generative climate emulator (Abdulah, Genton, Keyes, with collaborators at NCAR and NVIDIA) that runs at up to 3.5 km resolution, sampling high-resolution climate states at exascale. It won the 2024 ACM Gordon Bell Prize for Climate Modelling at SC24 and belongs to the KAUST HPC / Shaheen lineage.
The work is a scientific FM-scale system demonstrated on KAUST supercomputing infrastructure; its parameter count is undisclosed.
