Moonshot's next-generation terminal AI coding agent and the headline harness for the Kimi K2.7-Code launch — all of the model's coding/agentic benchmarks are run through it. TypeScript, MIT-licensed, installed via a one-line script or Homebrew (no Node.js required). Reads and edits code, runs shell commands, searches files, and fetches web pages, choosing the next step from feedback; works out of the box with Kimi models and any OpenAI-compatible provider.

The successor to Kimi CLI (which is being wound down — installing Kimi Code CLI auto-migrates existing config and sessions). Repo created 2026-05-22; promoted to the official CLI alongside the K2.7-Code release.
