Demis Hassabis

CEO of Google DeepMind. Co-founded DeepMind in 2010 (acquired by Google for ~$650M in 2014). Led breakthroughs including AlphaGo (defeated world Go champion, 2016), AlphaFold 2 (solved protein structure prediction, predicted 200M+ structures), and the Gemini model family. Won the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry (with John Jumper) for protein structure prediction. PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from UCL. Child chess prodigy and former game designer (Theme Park).
